Look at this ugly mug!
018.JPG
I bought my first set of make up today, I went with the Mehron brand and bought a 15 colour set as advised by the lady in the shop ($60.00 and they’re tiny pots). When I got home I noticed it was actually a latex mask cover make up, so I don’t think it’s the right stuff!
I started with a nose, although I’m probably going to buy a small “glue on” nose. Then I went to the eyes (this is my favourite bit and might be the only part of attempt one that I’ll keep).

I wanted to add some colour to my face so I raided Mrs Milo’s make up and stole a bright red powder thing that looks great on my cheeks (doesn’t come out in pictures too well).
Then I got stuck with my mouth!
Attempt one

Attempt two

Final attempt for today.

What do you think so far? Any ideas or recommendations for my face?

You can’t see too well in that picture, the final one has bright red cheeks and three large freckles on each.

I like the last one best. The mouths are to big on the other versions to be able to move with your expressions.

The last one intrigues me and I think it is something worth working off as a starter basis.
The one with the big muzzle needs to have bigger eyes to "balance" the bottom and top halves of the face. I would also go with some sort of larger red lips there.
I think that I like the one with the simple small eyes and red lip best. It's very subtle and straightforward. The only thing I wonder about there is whether it may be advisable to bring the white down just a bit further to cover the natural brows.

The third one is defiantly my starting point – If you click on the picture it does get a bit bigger, but you still can’t see it properly.
The eyes I love and they are staying (I got this from Bippo the clown – UK Circus clown).
I’m also going to keep the red blusher on the cheeks and I’m quite fond of the freckles and Blue lips too!
The only bit I can’t fathom out is the chin!
I could use some help with noses if anyone nose the best place to buy. I want a comfortable small red nose, can you get ones that stick on with an adhesive?
I also need help with shoes – Nowhere in Brittain does clown shoes and the US sites all seem to be about $400.00 a pair – Is there anywhere I can buy good quality, comfortable, durable clown shoes at a reasonable price?

I don’t think you can really call them pots, it’s more of a colour pallet with a tiny bit of each colour.

How many colors did you get (and what are they?)
I agree that it sounds like too much for too little. (Or, perhaps, more than necessary for a clown.)
What you need is some clown white (a little larger can's worth than the other colors), a smaller container (or pencils) in red and black. If you're going to use that much blue than you need a cup of that, too.

Yeah - I didn't know what kind of face I was going for, so I thought it best to get a little of everything for experimenting. I gote quite a few skin colours in the set, which I'm not likly to use.
