Default Juggling Partners

Hey everyone, I'm not new to clowning cause I've been doing it for just over three years. But I'm having a bit of trouble. I'm 13 coming 14 this year and I appiled to a circus school in Belfast, Ireland (thats where I live) over two years ago and still haven't gotten a reply.

I cant find anyone who shares my intrest and its becoming annoying. I go to a very small school and only started to juggle to make a few extra mates. I've mastered a few simple tricks and want to learn more. But since I can't find anyone and the circus school isn't getting back to me, how can find a juggling partner or find other circus workshops??

Thanks.

Welcome Shady Lamps! I'm curious, does the circus school hold auditions or is it strictly by application? Do they have a open enrollment or interivewing time? Is it because of your age? I wish you good luck!
You might try looking at a talent agency to see if they have jugglers who might be interested in someone to practice with. Perhaaaps a more experienced one may be willing to "Teach" (Some people have a problem with a young person who is good. You might try contacting our Webmaster who I believe is in Dublin. He might know some people who could help get you an introduction.
Best of Luck, and again; Welcome!

As far as I know you have to send in application's. She said the waiting list was long but I didn't think you had to wait so long. I'm afraid your all stuck with me, mr_buckaroo, lol

Put 'er there, Lamps....

Nice to see younger kids getting involved in this too. It's hard when you don't have someone else to "bounce" ideas off of or practice with.

Kepp tryin' tho....persistance does pay off...

Hi Shady,
Welcome.
I am from Ireland also. What clown school did you apply to? Is it specifically juggling you are interested in? Let me know, I might be able to sort something out.

I appiled to a circus School in Belfast, it took me ages to get threw to them and when I did all they took were my details like age, name, address.....

Yeah I'm mostly intrested in juggling but I would like to learn the whole pie in the face routines and stuff (I know its kinda a little old).

So far I can juggle almost anything I can get my paws on. 3 in one hand (a little), the normal three ball juggling, a few tricks with the three balls, 4 ball juggling, 2 in one hand and thats about it. I know its not an awful lot but thats why I've been trying this school.

I think the name of it was Belfast Comumitity Circus. Tho don't pull the strings cuz I wanna get in fairly.

So do all of you juggle or do magic tricks? or both 8O

Hi Shady, I can reccomend an excellent book on juggling. It will teach you all the patterns for up to 5 balls or cubs and also covers rings, scarfs, cigar boxes, devi stics, diabolos, plate spinning, tricks and lots more. all you need is this book, a little imagination and lots of practice! I continue to find it my best juggling resource.
