Rainbow: I love reading your post. But if you could seperate your lines every now and then I could follow it better. Please excuse my weak eyes, but I need a little spacing if there is a lot to read.

I am getting fingerprints on my screen trying to stay on the right line.

thanks

Okie dokie! Sorry about that.

I guess my fingers ramble too much. I've never been good at paragraph form. I probably write too much anyway. I think it's because I think too much! LOL!

Anyway, happy to correct it and welcome all feedback.

(How'd I do??)

Oh, you were not saying to much. Not at all. But that was easier to read. Thank you for the effort.

Rambleing is a good thing. I do it and enjoy it in others. My eyes just do not always co-operate with what I want to do. I guess tech. It is my brain. I'm just a clown with a very little brain.

I’m afraid I can’t help with pricing as the UK and US seem to be completely different.

I’m just getting started too and I found the sponge balls easy to work, I bought a pack of four for £1.50 ($3.00) and they came with instructions for appearing / disappearing tricks.

I also got a great little box that can only be opened by holding the top left and bottom right corners – I put a £5.00 note in the box and tell people if they can open it in 30 seconds they can have the money. It’s quite funny when I stand there tapping my foot and looking at my watch while they frustrated try to open the box, I then take the box back, open it and put the money back in my pocket! I have tried it on about 50 adults so far and not one has figured it out!!! Lol

Another neat thing I got was from Axtell (well I say I got, it’s due to arrive on Friday) http://www.axtell.com/illusions.html It’s a magic drawing board (they do a small one that would be ideal for you). I’ll let you look at it for your self.

Have you seen the huge ball and chain props? Put one of them on your ancle and tell the customer you couldn’t pay the bill three years ago and you’ve been stuck in the restaurant entertaining ever since!!!

I love my big pen, it’s about 50 cm long, I’m going to use it for autographs, but you could lend yours to customers to sign if they are paying by card.

Anyway, they’re just a few ideas I had floating about in my head.

All the best

Milo.

for birthday partys i charge between $100 & $125 cuz i work three differint towns Fort Myers, Cape Coral & Naples. Most clowns here Charge aroun $125. While Naples & Cape can afford to pay me alot My Home town of Fort Myers cant Aford much more then the $100. It all depends on what other clowns charge & what the people in the area youre working can afford

Thanks Rainbow for everything and thanks to everyone that has replied, but I'm using the halloween face paint, and it's cracking and it looks really bad by the end of my gigs. I don't know how the grease paint will work, How does it work for you? I was also thinking about doing my white face on cool days and a charactor face on really hot days. What do you think? (White face or something else?)
