The clown hall of fame would let you have an egg made in the likeness of your clown. I forget how much they charged, but it was a fund raiser for the clown hall of fame when it was in Baraboo Wisconsion.
I am not sure who painted the eggs, I think it was either Leon McBribes wife or Jim Howles wife. They looked really nice with wig hair and averything. If memory serves you got one to take home the the other was placed in the clown hall of fame on display. I went there when it was located in Babaroo. The eggs were quite impresive.
They also sold tiles on the building. Or alley bought on so our alley name was on the outside of the building on a ceramic tile.
The clown hall of fame lost that building and move into a basement I think in Milwalke. I have not checked in a few years but at that time it was just in storage not for veiwing.
I don't know how it got started to paint on eggs (goose eggs by the way)
I have a friend who had one of her daughter.
