If I was you i would just use the cheep balloons for practice they dont have the quality of the profesional balloons. but with them you will get a some great pratice. I have used them for that and because they tend to break easier than the others I go a gentler hand while twisting and it helped alot. this is where i get all my balloons from and their prices are not that expencive ttp://www.tmyers.com/MW1/Home.html .

Thanks Mr Buckaroo, know what you mean about them breaking. I had twenty and now i have 15, though i did make a fish, hotdog and a sword. I wont be making anymore swords tho because the balloons dont seem to be lond enough.

I'm going to wait a while before I try the dogs and harder shapes. I'm working on all the twists at the moment.

Thanks again for the link!

GIlbert;
thank you for the great idea on the balloon pump tube up the sleeve. You could use that for a number of things. The pump came in the mail today!

I met a gentleman ;ast year who was a juggler that did balloon animals and he had a large "hand" pump that was about 3 1/2 ft tall. It had a sleeve that attached toa floor stand and the ballon was pumped by moving the sleeve up and down. I am interested in finding one for my own show as the pump was as entertaining for the kids as the animals themselves.
