My first party!!!!
Yes, I'm so excited. I've been working on doing clowning for a long time. Been to MooseCamp, ClownTown and even in a Troupe Tag Along in Cleveland.
A close friend has foster parented and adopted 8 or 9 kids. Her kids are adults with one grand child. Anyways, these kids have been drug babies and many different problems. So I told her a couple of weeks ago, I would love to come & see the one child, she is severely handicapped. So the Mom planned a party, with duck games, darts & balloons, etc...she was renting one of the big slides, or bounce things, but do to rain coming in the area, she canceled it. (it never did rain) Hot dogs, cotton candy, popcorn, they made craft bags & me. Anyways, I came. I made the balloon flower bracelets for the girls (i made those at home). Made balloon hats & swords. Did just a touch of face painting (ice cream cones, similes etc). Danced with them a cute cd Lets Get Funky!!!! Anyways....I was nervous earlier in the day and finally realized I was going over to their house to play!!!! The one little girl kept starring and I knew she was unsure of me. So I was making balloons, and she was holding one of them, then I asked her favorite color, and she warmed up!!! Oh my Gosh!!!!!!!!! I was excited. Because they were close friends I stayed longer than probably normal. I also, wasn't charging. But Mom blessed me with a gift. I go down to the homeless shelter every Tues. Last week I wore a clown tie.,one of the ladies at church gave me. Everyone loved it,,,just a silly tie, I told them I was dressed for success.... This week I was blowing bubbles. There was some kids in the food line with parents. Maybe next week I will go in full costume and make balloons, or something. Thanks for listening...Can't wait to do my next party!!!!!!!
