Default Parade day!

I just finished my first clowning event, a parade. What a rush! It was a lot of waiting, a lot of walking, and a lot of sweating (and it's not even that warm out!)

Everyone had a great time, both fans and clowns. I walked with my work, and one of my daughters. We were right near the end of the parade, but everyone was still having a good show.

Even from one event I've learned a lot. I learned that I need a lot more nose glue. I still can't figure out how to get my makeup to "set", which means makeup on my collar and costume (ugh), and I MUST wear something on my head... oooh the sweat. The sweat!

The cheers of "look at the clown!" "Hey clown over here!!!" "I LOVE CLOWNS!" "hey clown, hey clown!!!" were the best.

I had the same trouble with makeup ring around the collar. After allowing the powder to set the grease paint I spritz with Be Nye Final Seal. Makes me smell like spearmint and burns a little if I open the eyes before the fumes dissipate.

I'd say it was quite a success. You look great; your daughter is adorable, and you all had fun. That means it was a good day. Good job! Boy, is your costume nice.

How much powder are you using to set the makeup? There should be NO wet spots before you go out with it. If there are RE-POWDER them!

Great job Azzy, get you a sckull cap ( mine is spandex) to wear under wig or hat that helps alot.
Make up after setting and making sure no wet spots I have a spray water bottle that I spray with. I had an event last year that was 100 deg. outside and I was working in the sun, My makeup didn't come off but my nose did.

Glad you had a blast with your first event.

How'd those Clown Mart shoes hold up, Azzy? Are those 13" or 15"?

Inquiring clown minds want to know!

Congrats on a successful parade. I can't wait until my first parade as a clown. I am helping with the Independence Day parade in DC, but not as a clown. One of my groups has been walking with the big helium balloons for the past several years.
