THE QUESTION OF THE AGES..
Whew! that's a big one.
Many things have to be considered when you start talking price. In no particular order:
Your experience and level (quality) of performance.
Your geographical area. IE, size of city, number of clowns in the area type of community. Mostly blue collar or more professionals than blue collars, or a pretty even mix?
Your skills. What you bring to the table? Facepainting, balloon twisting, magic, juggling, puppets. What do you have to offer?
What others with more experience are charging and why do they get that amount.
Do they stay busy or are there more clowns than work availible?
These are some things to think about. They all contribute to how much you can charge for your performance. Remember. You may be a hundred dollar an hour Clown; But, if the people who can afford it aren't in your area you won't see it. It's better to be busy.
Hope this helps.
