Make up remover suggestion
Hey Blossom! Arn't you thankfull for this site? I so wish I had this as a rescource when I started clowning. I had to learn everything the hard way! A few conventions helped! I can remember when the only make up remover available was Crisco and Baby oil! Crisco did make my face feel wonderful! I recommend "ProFace Professional Make Up Remover" By Leon McBryde. Its like Mary Kay for Clowns! In fact, his whole make up line is awesome! He is a former Ringling clown, he certainly knew what us clowns needed! Just put a dab onto a really soft paper towel and simply wipe off your make up! It also smells devine! I will never use anything else! This moisturizes your skin and leaves it feeling silky and fresh!
Have fn & good luck!

Last Saturday I clowned for our Churches Bible Club registration. To prepare my face for Scruffy's This is my routine.
1. apply ponds moisturizer and work into face and neck.
2. Apply No sweat. I believe its made by proface. I apply it to a cotton square and do my face, chin, behind my ears, and the back of my neck.
3. Apply make up and set with ben nye neutra set powder.
4. apply coating of Ben Nye Barrier spray.
removal:
1.Apply mehron makeup remover to a cotton square and use to loosen makeup.
2. Wipe with a clean baby wipe. remove as much as possible with these to methods.
3. wash face with baby magic baby wash on a face cloth, rinse dry face.
I did it this way and for the first time ever, removed my makeup cleanly in about five minutes!

[color=black] [/colo I have been using the hand soap from Bath and body works the kind with the little round scrubbies in it. It works great I dont even have to use make up removal. The trick is to use alot of it!

I used baby oil for many years. On a whim, I decided to try the remover. I've never thought about some of B&B's stuff. I imagine it would get it off.

!
I find using baby oil works great! Work up really good and messy, tahen wipe with warm, damp cloth. Use soap and water and then face cream to soften skin . Once I ran out of baby oil and to late to make a trip to Wally World. Looked in the kitchen cabinet and found my bottle of Virgin Olive Oil. Didn't work quite as well as baby oil but did make a good emergency removal. Cost more than baby oil!!

Albolene is what I swear by! You take it and rub it in and wipe it off with a paper towel. It leaves your skin not only clean by hydrated as it does not strip your skin! One jar lasts a very, very long time. Albolene Cleanser - The Makeup Comes Off, The Moisture Stays In.

100 grit sandpaper works and exfoliates too. Don't use the sander though it overdoes the treatment.

This isn't a mkeup removal question, but rather a makeup application question. I am currently using Ben-Nye Clown White for my white face, I find it somewhat tough to put on...anyone know of an easier, hardier brand?

Do you soften it up in the palm of your hand before you apply it? It IS tough to spread if you don't.
