Wish I could give you advice, but I basically lucked into my weekly gig, but it all came about because of School night, Here several fast food places have School night inwhich the school get a donation based on their Students/family coming in on their paritcular night. Look and see if there those in your area, approach it as another thing that will make the resturant stand out to have you there on a set regular basis. I'm commited to 4 hrs a month, basically once a week, and I get paid. But as I said I lucked in the contacted me for the end of the year party which I did and they like me. I had giving them a promo packet in which I list things I can do, ie face painting, story telling, balloon etc, he like that I could change my activity from month to month. Hope this helps.

It's best if you don't, but on the other hand, there are times when that's the only way to get your size-27 foot in the door, and you can sometimes make good money that way. Snickers brings in a lot more clowning for tips than the waitresses do.

Yes, it would be better to have the restaraunt pay her something, also, but half a loaf is better than none - she's still averaging about $40/hour or so, busking restaraunts and events and such.

Thats fantastic that she is reeling in the fish that way Happy. No wonder she is willing to keep so busy. That is really good to hear, that people are willing to show their appreciation of her talents.

It's funny. She'll usually start out with a few people taking balloons for nothing, then they'll start averaging $1 per. After about a half-an-hour, people will walk up and give her $5 just for being pretty.

I have worked for Golden Corral for 3 years and Chick-fil-a for 3 years. I landed my job with Golden Corral a year after I left a card with them. Chick-fil-a I picked up from a mailing I did to area restaurants. I offer rates that get better for longer contracts. I goal is to always sign them to a year but I offer 3 and 6 month contracts.

That's interesting to me...I'm located in TX, but it seems that Golden Corral & Chick-Fil-A are very popular w/ clowns here also...and Pizza Hut is also.
