Default Great Gag

An old clown partner of mine, Scotty Walsh does a great bit where he walks over to his vaudeville suitcase and pulls out an empty box of Trix cereal. "Let's see what else I have in my box of tricks." The audience loves it.

I have seen this. You can use the mini boxes as well and it makes it portable for walk a rounds. You can also go to the Laundromat and get a small box of Tide. One use of this is to use a change bag and cut a rope in half drop it in. Wave the magic wand and reach in and you pull out the rope that is now running through the box and you say “It’s now Tied.” I think that’s that way the patter went.

I love the Trix box gag! So simple, but people love it! Stuff like that is brilliant.

Reach inside the Trix box as if you were searching for your next trick. Nothing. Reach inside once more and finally, frustrated, you tear the box open, only to reveal 2 big letters printed on the inside. M & T

Look at the audience and say, "Awww, I brought the EMPTY (MT) one with me"
(*groan)

This would take some beforehand preparation and since you are tearing the box open, you would have to have a new box each time.

Just a thought,,,,,

I always carried my coloring pages inside my box of TRIX. No need to having all that space inside my case.

If you cut along the seam of the box of Trix and had it fastened shut with velcro you wouldn't need to destroy the box.
Sam that is a great addition to Jeremy's post. I have heard variations of this idea but they have never really caught my excitement. This collection of ideas however... Paradability at COAI? Never done that before. On my back I could wear a sign "courtesy of www.clown-forum.com."

I actually heat-seal up little pkgs. of fruit-loops (donut seeds) With the following planting directions:

1). INSERT SEEDS IN BELLY BUTTON
2). COVER WITH LINT
3). ADD 1 TABLESPOON OF MILK
4). COUNT TO ONE BILLION TRILLION
YEILDS: ALL THE DONUTS YOU CAN EAT!

These pkgs. have all my contact info on the back. My belief is that folks will hang on to/ pass these along better than business cards.

BTW, that's also what you call, no husband, no kids and too much time on my hands.

I have all sorts of those type pkgs. Hillbilly blow dryer which is a balloon with drying directions directions.
