Default Whistle maker/bird call thingy

As you can see I have no idea what the proper name for this thing is but my hubby is looking for one. You put it in your mouth and you can whistle by blowing in it. Anyone a) have any clue what I'm talking about? and b) know where I might find one?

Thanks,

GiGi

I think you mean one like on this webpage: http://www.eenwieler.nl/product.php?idObject=696
I'm sorry I don't know how you would call it in English or where to buy it in Amerika. Maybe it will help you further because now you know which company makes them

Oh after a bit of googling I came to this. maybe this helps you:

Does the plastic thingy have a spinner inside that whistles when you blow on it? If so Loftus sells a product called the wolf whistle. There is also a version of the whistle that looks like a set of lips. They usually run about a buck and a half.

I'd check hunting supply store as well, you might find several bird calls there.

We were able to find some on ebay. They are the coolest thing. They fit in your mouth without being able to see it and you can still speak if you choose to. My hubby wanted them for the big festival we do every May. His character is silent so being able to whistle very loud helps to get peoples attention. Thanks everyone for your help.

My main character is also silent. I can whistle but I still can't do it loudly or steadily enough. I will have to check one of these gadgets out. What was it called on ebay?

sticking out tongue The Mosquito Effect!

Gigi, I'm glad you described it. It reminds me of the actual squeeker part of those squeekers we all have in our arsenal. I saw Rex Nolen cut apart one of the palm sized squeeker and remove the actual mechanism. He placed it in his mouth and when he blew threw it he could make it sound like a mosquito. Then he would go around trying to find and kill it before it bit someone. The palm sized squeekers generally cost less than a dollar.
