Creating Coloring Books

Does anyone know of software that one could purchase that would convert a photo in to a coloring book-like picture?

I thought it'd be a nice thing to leave after doing a birthday party for kids to color. I know there are 'clown' coloring books, but I wanted to create one that featured Jamdealie and her friends as a marketing tool.

Thought it might also be a great way to offer a 'coloring contest' from our web site that parent's could download and print off for their kids. Maybe offer a discount on their next party? Has anyone done this?

The best luck I had was having a couple of coloring sheets drawn by Angel Contraras. I know I goofed up the spelling on that one. www.art4clowns.com (That I can remember.) He is a clown himself and a fantastic artist.

A few friends have tried different programs over the years that supposedly render a line drawing from a regular photo and each and every one looked terrible. Well, maybe not terrible, just not professional in any way. They looked home made. I strive in all my marketing and all my appearances to be as professional as possible.

I have my coloring sheets on the website but have not tried a contest. Not a bad idea.

Check around for caricaturists. There's usually one or 2 at every fair, and I know a number of agencies around here offer their services. I'll PM you the email of someone who can do really nice ones...shes been doing most of the local clowns around here for years. I also believe she can do it electronically.
