Bubble Machine
It's looking like I'm going to be in the market for a bubble machine. Your thoughts on where I can get a good one at a reasonable price?
And, speaking of bubbles..... if you use them, what is your formula or brand?

Don't Waste your money on a cheap one! Check with a DJ supply place or a music retailer. Get something like this:

I have used bubble machines and found out that "bubblemachine" by fx is the best. this machine has a handle that you can carry, The machine can be pwered by ac (batteries) or by dc (electric). you can look for it in wal-mart or other party supplies. most machines do reqire you to "prchase" their brand of bubble juice, after all, its their product and they want your money ! their is a formula to make homemade bubble juice. i think it is two teaspoons of liquid dish wash soap to one gallon of water. add a drop of food coloring to add that "aahhh cool" look. I hope that you have a great success -- I was a great hit using bubbles in a parade!

We used to carry bubble machines at Fun F/X. I don't remember hearing about any coming in this year. Sometimes that happens when the cheap ones start flooding the market. I will check tomorrow if I remember. Otherwise you might try Party City, Factory Card Outlet or the larger independant party stores I know that Chicago has. One of the best ones I believe uses a picture of a giant as their logo.

My Alley uses battery powered bubble guns during the local Christmas lights parade. Kids go nuts but only the down wind crowd gets to play.

Ditto, on the gazillions! I picked up up two of them from goodwill for 5 bucks a piece. The pro ones can't keep up. they are normally about twenty bucks at walmart or target. they are in the toy isles with the jumps ropes, squirt guns and the like.
One word to the wise keep them away from the kids . I have one that is a bubble inside a bubble. And they nearly broke it on it's first run. So put it inside a tall plastic trash can so they can't get at the works.

I've actually been pretty satisfied with my cheap Wal-Mart bubble machine. But I suppose if you're going to want to use it often and not have to refill it every 10 minutes, you're wise to purchase a better model. Let us know what you decide on.

My fiance bought me this awesome bubble machine back in 2004 and it's STILL in working condition, it was only £25 at the time too... and if I put food colourful in the mix I tend to get coloured bubbles, nice

Wow. Now THAT'S a bubble machine. I have a little one that I got from Wal-Mart, but I've never used it. What do you guys use them for?
Edit ... I just realized that was a DUMB QUESTION. I got it now ... you use them for BUBBLES, right?
