Default Folding Chairs

I'm looking for small stools which will fold for easy transport that I can use for the "chair gag". I would like to get what is sometimes referred to as a "fishing stool" or "camping stool". Basically, just a couple of pieces of wood or metal which fold out and compact to present and conceal a simple canvas seat. But these I am discovering hard to find (especially at any sort of reasonably low cost). Does anyone know where I might get something like that or perhaps have other ideas as to what kind of chairs would be useful, considering the need for easy packing/transport?

Try campmor.com

The low price on a folding stool was $7.99. I would suggest other camping related sites too, but I've dealt with campmor in the past and have had great success.

checking out camping supply stores is what I'd suggest too.
But that being said. I use these little black folding stools I got at Wal-mart, folds flat, round seat chair height, I also have one Bar stool height for face painting, clients to sit on.

I finally found something at WalMart which fit the bill and my price range. I don't know if they are ideal, but they'll work well enough. A couple of the chairs availble even had colorful patterns which will make things more bright and clowny.

Fantastic LP. How if BWW to work with? We have a couple around here but I had never really thought about aproaching them as I thought they were not that family oriented.
What kind of balloon workshops? Have you been to Twist and Shout? I think that happens out your way each spring.
Have you been to any of the clown conventions? In September they always have a big one in Sea Side Heights, NJ and in April Clowns of America International is going to have their big annual convention in the area of Charleston or Richmond, Virginia. I haven't been to the website lately (www.coai.org) and my rememberer doesn't always work so well.

The bww3 (Erie, Pa.) is doing great ! they actualy have monday nights for family (Football games are on espn now) and they have school nights --fundraising. I never went to T&S, always wanted to. the last workshop was t jam on the road with Don Caldwell. Loved it.I was planning on traveling to Rochester, N.Y. to help out with Balloon Manor 07, but Erie Zoo contacted me to help out with Zoo Boo. Little nervouse about stage (first time)lol. Thinking about crawling inside of balloon and hide. The assitant will come on stage and "accidently" pop the balloon. then make dracula's for the kids. I am a self taught clown with lots of dvd, magazines, books and from pictures.

For being self taught it sounds like you are doing a few things right. Congratulations on the Zoo Boo gig. How long is your stage show supposed to last? I have done quite a number so if I can be of any help just let me know. I love brainstorming crazy ideas. I'll bet you would really enjoy COAI. Membership is right around $30 a year and you get a really nice magazine bi-monthly. There are a lot of very good articles with bunches of useful bits of information.
