Default I got stuff! What do I do with it?

Went shopping at Goodwill and bought some stuff. Flowers mostly. Any ideas what I can do with these?

I have eight of these stuffed flowers. Three sunflowers, four smiley faces with the sticks cut off, and one with the stem still attached. The stem has a strong wire in it. I've been juggling these (difficult!), balancing the flower on my nose, these could also be used on a costume maybe... I don't have one of those yet.

Then I also got these tiny little silk flowers. I just had to buy them, the whole bunch for $.99 - also this fancy red box. It's a wooden box with a felt bottom and inside, with nice black borders painted all over it. Really nice, if I had a magic trick to go with it...

Here's a size comparison, the stuffed flowers are BIG, the silk flowers are SMALL.

What would you do with these toys?

Wow ... those are REALLY pretty. I LOVE Goodwill AND Salvation Army for STUFF ... and it shows, in my basement.

I thought the flower looked rather attractive on you from the spring fling ... other than that, I'll have to think ... I think a lot of girl clowns would LOVE those ... I'm just not sure what a boy clown will do with them. I'll have to get back with you on this.

I know! Seriously, there were many other flower things I wanted also. Maybe I should be a girl clown?

Tip hat

Attach them to slinkys and attach the slinkys to one side of a foam core board. On the other side (the front side) print the words "My Spring Bouquet" You are now set for parades and other walk arounds. First you show the front side and then (would you believe it) you show the back side. You could also put the spring flowers inside an old hardsided suitcase but this is a little more expensive and heavier to carry.

You could remove the silk rose buds from the stems and replace them with foam clown noses. You'd have a dozen long-stemmed red noses (picked fresh for you)!

Even better, load your costume with those small flowers put them everywhere. Up and down sleeves in pockets, under your hat, in your shirt and shoes, everywhere. Then you can have one out, make it dissapear obviously up a sleeve and then pull it out of the other sleeve. Ho hum... but then you pull it out from your pocket, behind you back from everywhere. Do it quick and as if you didn't expect it. Even better: stuff them all up your sleeve and pull a harpo marx and let them fall out of your sleeve, at a inappropriate time.

As for the big flowers... you could make a simple puppet with a big stemed pun flower. Put it in a flower pot with some of that fake moss and arrange so that you can twist the flower around so that it "looks" different ways. If you can make it bend and rise with some thread, you have a silent sun flower partner!

I like the flowers with the smiley faces. They are a great find. I would have bought them too knowing that there must be something fun to do. A flower on a hat or in the lapel might be nice. Maybe part of a magic trick. I habe been meaning to stop by a thrift shop, and seeing your finds makes me want to do it soon.

Good ideas! The spring blossom one would be neat, but I hate to have them strapped to a board all the time. We're having so much fun throwing them around a frisbees! I think the silk roses are too small for the bouquet of noses, but it's a good idea. I *LOVE* the idea of hiding the flowers all over the place. I think that would be especially good for a little girl's party someday.

I found out the big stuffed flowers are from Toys R Us originally, a few still had tags. No idea if they could still be found there, and I'm sure they would cost a lot more. I got all 8 for $4

I have a big pinwheel flower that I use as a walkaround type of prop. I smile sweetly and tell people I am a "flower child."
