Clown Star

I buy white collar shirts from the Salavation Army to turn into the bibs I use in costume. I cut the collar out with the top button and double up the material from the back for the actual bib, then I sew the bib back to half the collar, and attach a snap to affix the other half - ta da! - My bib opens in the front with the button and snap and I affix a couple clown buttons or iron-on stars to it to spruce it up.

Works well... I can never seem to get the red make up out of the white fabric to my satisfaction, so I go through these things... :O)

Who doesn't shop at Goodwill! Our church has dinner theaters that we raise money for missions and most of our costumes come from Goodwill. Also my clown trousers are a gigantic pair that I got from Goodwill. It is also a great place to look for props. For ministry clowns that are looking for an economical way to entertain, it is a must.

Hey Finito, would you mind posting a picture of one of your bibs? It sounds like a great idea for any number of character uses.
