Big flyswatter
I was walking thru a dollar store the other day and found a huge flyswatter...it has to be made especially for clowns cuz there is no way it could kill a fly...the holes in it are too big...it cost a whole dollar..u sure can find some good props at the dollar stores! Now what would a clown do with a big flyswatter? Have a few ideas, but looking for more suggestions for my new toy...preferably something to do with Christian clowning would be great! Thanks so much to all of you...I am addicted to this site!

Swat away temptation (in the form of another clown messing with you) maybe?

Find a giant fly, Mount it to a hat and use it as a parade walkaround. You look everywhere for the fly to kill it; but, it is on your head and you can't find it.

Get two of the fly swatters, 2 small plastic laundry baskets and a lot of cotton balls.
Put the laundry baskets at one end about 25 to 50 feet away from the start line. Put the cotton balls at the start line, the object is to have two people scoop as many cotton balls on to the fly swatters and run to the other end and deposit them in the laundry baskets. The person with the most cotton balls in the baskets wins. Oh yea you are not allowed to hold the cotton balls on the fly swatter.

Similiar to Scruffy's idea, mount a big butterfly to your hat for hospital visit. Pretend to use the Flyswatter to search for butterflies in the ward to catch. Whenever you see anything colourful, you pretend to run after it. When you walk into the ward, this action helps to break the ice between the clowns and the patients as well as their the caregivers.

Thanks for the great idea! Last week, I tried using the net(about 1 foot diameter) in place of the flyswatter with a butterfly attached to my hat during the ward visit, the children had so much fun. They kept telling me where the butterfly was and i chased after the butterfly but not able to catch it. After that, I moved to a time of interaction with the kids as chasing after butterflies could be tiring. Thanks Squiggles for starting this thread on the flyswatter. Cheers

Clown Antics: Squeakers and Noise Makers
Scroll down under mosquito whistle. If you inhale rather than exhale it sounds almost like a fly. I don't have any good skit ideas, but at least you can occupy yourself with trying to swat at a fly, especially with all this hot weather and how annoying it is when that fly won't leave you alone
