Better not steal buy instead! As orangutan recognises its master., it may run back to its previous owner in the midst of your performance.

What is it with Northerners that put sugar in cornbread?? Thats not cornbread! When you put sugar in cornbread it becomes CAKE!!!

Put the sugar in the tea! Thats where it belongs! I like my tea to be so sweet that I can pour it on my pancakes if I run out of syrup!

Pinky,

I think that I would wait, so that you can learn from the camp information. I have one of the Axtell puppets (the dodo bird) and am very pleased, but it is pricey. Part of it depends on how you want to use him as a puppet (behind a stage) or as a ventriloquism act. If you are wanting to learn ventriloquism, then the Axtell puppet is great.

If you are wanting to do puppet shows, then I would look at the big mouth puppets. They are cheaper and you can dress them in different ways depending on the show. I made my puppet stage out of PVC pipe and can be disassembled and stored away. I use the big mouth puppets to interact with my clown persona and "Cecil the dodo bird" with just me. With the clown the puppet is the straight man and with Cecil, I am the straight man.

Bottom line, drink in all the information of the camp and then you can make an informed decision.

Thanks, Waldo. I had another urge to buy Vern today and had to make myself "step away from the computer", LOL. I kinda envisioned using Vern while being a clown, but letting him get the laughs. I don't know, it's all foreign to me. Actually, I don't think I'll be any good at the ventriloquism, so I was going to buy one of those vocal tracks that Axtell sells, so I could do a routine with Vern. Have you had any experience with them?

The funny thing I have found is that Fitzwilly is too big of an attention hog to be able to share the limelight with a puppet. What that boils down to, is that I get so into being Fitzwilly that in order to use a puppet I would have to learn how to be Fitzwilly doing a puppet. I can't be Dan doing a puppet and at the same time be Fitzwilly. Fitzwilly has a stream of conscienceness that is really weird, and to interupt that to think as Dan thinking as a puppet, and then back into Fitzy's brain... Scary!

It might be a good idea to print out photos and specs of both Vern and Verna, and bring those with you to Moose Camp so Christopher can give you a more informed suggestion.

Always thinking Katie, that's why you get the big bucks, or at least the big thank yous. That is a good idea that never crossed my mind.
