Default Should I buy a Puppet?

I'm really new at all this, and I'm going to Moose Camp...I want to take a puppet class. I don't currently own a puppet, however. Should I buy the one I have my eye on from Axtell, or should I buy a little cheapie one to take to camp and wait until after I take the puppet class to buy the expensive one and make sure I have a knack for it? Or would it be better to buy the Axtell now and take it to Moose Camp with me? The investment would be around $80. I don't want to buy it if I'm going to tank at it. LOL What do you all think? Thanks!

If it's with Christopher, then just wait, he will give you all the good tips and tricks, what to buy and what not to buy. Even if you go to his class without a puppet he supplies one. If, however, you are taking his course, you make your own.

I know that Fred usually brings a few puppets to camp. And Christopher really knows his stuff. He will have plenty of good information for you. I would wait.

I think you should talk to Trish about it when she calls you. Likely she will help you sort out the quandry with some quality advice.

Thanks, everyone. I really have a huge puppet-crush on Vern (and I like Verna too) that Axtell sells. Verna's pricey (like $170), and the mini-Vern is only like $50. But I will wait and talk to Christopher first.

Yes, but orangutan puppets take up a lot less space than real orangutans...

You know, there's a reason that Daisy carries a chicken...
