If you want to drop it on a CD and mail it to me I should be able to shrink it using a program we use at the radio station. Although if you can drop it on a CD you can convert it to an MP3 yourself and you usually can adjust the quality (of the recording not your voice) if you need to shrink the file.

Well, I have it as a .mov and could maybe convert it to an .mp3, but it rates in at 55 MB of material. I'm wondering if that is uploadable to youtube, perhaps, in an overnight effort.

55MB, that is huge (for my dial up) won't iTunes convert it for you?
