Default Slumber Party

Hey Guys!

Anybody ever done a slumber party before? I've got one coming up in October, and mom wants me to show towards the beginning, around 5pm, and hang out for an hour. I've already thought of the idea of bringing my pillow and sleeping bag to pretend like I was staying the night, but I'm still in the initial prepartion stages on what else to do for this...

Any thoughts?

Default slumber party

You are a brave soul. 8O
What ages and boy's or girls? Is it indoors or will there be room to do things out doors, small building or large building? Using a paper bag and doing the invisible ball works good for teenagers and if you have the lighted thumb tips pulling lights [juggling lights] when it's getting dark looks cool, 9-13 boy if there's room rocket balloons and they can see who's will go the most distance.

Default Slumber Party

This is only my 3rd party.....yikes!

5 9 year old girls, so I hope it's easier to keep them entertained with the lower number. Moms says there will be some outdoor activity, and I just got some rocket balloons so that's a great idea on a contest.

Invisible ball in paper bag? How does that one go?

Hair and makeup....hehehe....

Say, wait a minute....

Maybe that's not such a bad idea after all!

Default Girls are easier I think.

If you do any face painting, Butterflies, rainbows are big.

Paperbag- get a small brown lunch size bag. if you hold it at the top on one side and snap you fingers while holding the bag it sounds like some thing hit it. What make this work is, your eye contact and follow through with body movements, but practice throwing an invisible ball then catching it in the bag, you can pass an invisible ball to each girl and have them toss it, Play it up big -like "Oh you threw that one to far go get it and wait for her to get. It not hard but you need to practice to get your timing down.

Do you do any magic? I usually do. I've got a change bag and a silk cylinder. I use the cylinder for give aways [party favors] bracelets, candy. etc. If you provide party favor besure to include this in the cost of your party. A thumb tip is great for all kinds of simple magic.

You can also make balloon hats.
Out side rocket balloon, a version of musical chairs or hot potato with a water balloon.
There all kind of games with small balloons if there is room, do different types of relays like must pass balloon down the line keeping it under your chin and you can not use your hands,
run and bust a balloon, tag next in line ect. Sorry so long, but hopes this helps

Default Rocket Balloons

BTW, the Rocket balloons are great, and I almost even made one myself with a standard 260! My only problem would be, if I gave this to a child, how would he blow it up on his own without a pump?

Hey Bips, How about playing spin the clown instead of spin the bottle? I have an old issue of caliope mag tha t talks about doing a slumber party. If you will drop me your info in a PM, I'll send you a photocopy.

Default Bips:

It went out in todays mail. Ironically the woman who wrote the article is a clown in the Arlington area.
Maggie the Clown is her name I believe.
