Patter
Doing a charity event this Thursday on my stilts.
It's a woman-less beauty pageant. I'll walk the runway in two outfits: 1 casual (had a gawdy outfit made) and form (had a stilt dress made).
Anyway, I'm going to go back to a white-face for the event (in drag obviously), and just looking for some patter ideas. It's an all out beauty pageant, but no real idea what type of questions the panel will be asking - anything you can come up I may be able to work in.
My character:
Wee Wilma Small
height: standing some 15'
theme song: casual dress - People are strange, formal dress - small people
Favorite color: Bleak
Occupation: Rabid Llama Rider
Hobbies: Tossing midgets (not my idea) and making rubber band balls with complete apathy...

Don't most beauty pagents contestants want
" World Peace"
well do opposite World Domination, or a play on the word ...World pizza, ...world pea....nuts, etc.

And the winner is.....
Fundraiser was pretty fun and more importantly - sucessful in raising cash for the cause.
A few pics....
This is the winner f the event. It was amazng how much like a woman he looked. He put a lot or work into it and had a nice character skit to go along with the appearance.
Showing off her? talent with the Hoola-Hoop
 and swaying the judges...
In the dressing room before the formal attire round. Our escorts (females) were asked to dress like males for the event.
and before the casual round... (it's wrong that she - the real one, not me - is this skinny after having a baby 5 weeks before this picture)

Looks like it was a fun event! Now that I think of it I haven't ever seen a stilt walker in person. I have caught some really great youtube videos of them though. One of my favorites is a guy on stilts who acts as a puppeteer to a woman moving like a marionette. It's a brilliant bit of mimery. Ah, found it!

Good thing they had a high ceiling. I bet getting through the door was a little challenging.

Naw, not working nerves. I blew my knee out and getting ready to have surgery - just took some time to get the referal but finally moving forward. Hoping it doesn't need a full replacement, but it feels pretty rough some days (moreso recently). I would've not participated in this event, but I'd committed to it some time ago. Halfway through or so, was having horrible knee pain and subsequent leg cramps - the result was an occassional scowl or grimace that made it to film.
Ceiling and a balloon archway was a bit tricky getting through for sure.
