Any ideas?
For our drama class we have to do a clown routine involving 4 different types of clowns. In our group we have Vaudeville, Pierrot, Hobo and Auguste and we are doing a scene at the beach. If you have any ideas, or things that we could do involving the beach please reply. But this show does need to be in front of Preschool kids. So far we have-
Sand castle
Swimming
Sun Bathing
Rescue (lifesaver)
...?
Well if you can help, thank you so much.

That's great that you guys are doing such varying clowns! You could also add a life jacket and a fishing rod to the props (A stick with some line and a red and white bobber are good!) Sunglasses and a beach umbrella could be good too. If you have any guys in the group it is usually pretty funny to have them pull out a romance novel to read!

There's always the possibility of rubber fish, too. And if you can come up with something, beach towels and picnic baskets could be used too.

Or instead of catching a rubber fish, they could catch a rubber chicken. The preschoolers would love that.

I just recently heard of a skit where clowns are going on a picnic. Each clown announces what they brought for the picnic (i.e. fried chicken and tater salad, tea and soda pop, etc). When the last clown steps in he proudly announces that he brought the ants and then trips spilling the ants all over the picnic blanket etc. The other clowns chase after him for ruining their picnic.
I may not have stated the skit correctly as I haven't seen it done and only heard about it recently. Someone else may be able to expand on it some, but at least it's an idea.
A picnic on the beach!

Pass juggling with rubber fish? Abuse someone while trying to set up the umbrella and beach chair, ala the contruction gag? Maybe you could rig a collapsable fishing pole so you could pull the whole kitten caboodle out of your pocket [pant leg]? Hahahaha, that'd be funny! Maybe you could cast out someplace funny, like behind a teachers desk, and reel in a fish? Hahahahaha!
