You proceed to pour water into the cup with the slush powder. Then mix up the cups and ask for a victim/volunteer. Be sure that your audience and volunteer cannot see the contents of the cups.

Announce to the volunteer that he/she gets to pick one of the cups and you will dump it over your head. Mix up the cups again. The volunteer then gets to select the cup you get to dump over his head. One cup remains, and since neither you nor the volunteer has gotten wet, everybody assumes that the water is in the last cup.

Now you prepare to pour the final cup over your head. At this point, I whip out one of those hats with the umbrella on the top. After much agonizing, I pour the final cup over my head, but, alas, nothing comes out! The audience is amazed, and I take a bow.

Easy and always a hit.

Well I thought I was donating my clown to my church. I did my first gig and 3 out of about 8 or 9 pastors we have were there and they got to talking and came over and asked for my card with address. I am now on Payroll at the church. It PAYS to impress! My favorite question that impressed them was
"How are we the same as a Balloon?" Answer "Without air the balloon is empty Well, without GOD we are empty. you know what else? we both have creators!" Create a smile for every child every time!

Congratulations!

And I like the thing about balloons.

Just tonight I was popping some balloons which were left over from practice and it amazed me how quickly a well inflated balloon is reduced to nothing by a small pin pop. It reminded me of the fragility of our lives.

Don't even think about the adults. If the kids are happy the adults will be happy. Concentrate on performing for the kids and it will decrease your stress which will allow you to give a better performance. I just pretend I'm performing only for the kids otherwise I'd be nervous too.

Funny, I enjoy performing for adults as well as children. I look forward to throwing in a couple of comments (some pre-planned and some ad-lib) that have special meaning for the adults.
