Default Music for Chance (and the rest of us)

Hey gang. Bubbles and I are the proud new owners of a Danelectro Honeytone mini-amp. This thing rocks. Hook up an mp3 player, or a mic and this portable (you can wear it on a belt) mini-amp pumps out the sound. And the best part is that it was only $19.99 at my local Guitar Center.

Now we need some music to fill it up. In our search, we came across Royalty Free Music

Chance, you gotta check out the Silent Film Score section. Great stuff that you could use.

There's plenty on the site for the rest of us, too. Enjoy!

It's not royalty free, but for a Vaudeville feel you can't beat Babylon Circus - Voulu

Love the silent movie scores, especially "Plucky Daisy". Thanks for thinking of me Wowza. I am gonna have to look into one of those mini amps since all my shows require music... It would be so much easier when doing street stuff too!

the honey tone is a good little rig. Not bulletproof, but a great little portable amp.

I use Windows Movie Maker and a DV II webcam. It does limit me a great deal though as everything has to be within range of the stationary camera.

Scruffy, can you (or anyone else) recommend any solid amp/PA/sound system type stuff for more significant purposes? (Specifically, more musical oriented stuff with sound enough to fill a room.)

I thought I'd posted this link before but I can't find it. It's the soundtrack to the Bill Irwin and David Shiner show "Fool Moon".

You can hear the entire album on the site and then buy it if you like! It is some of the most inspirational music for the kind of work I want to do so I thought I would share. The song "Fool Moon" is one of my all time favorites.

Wow. Sorry I missed this one.
SHS Audio - POD4 P-1

I really like this system. It's a hundred watts, has delay, and four channels. It a very basic system, but, with the Ipod dock, you program the whole show on it. Add a good quality wireless, mic, and you are in business.
FWIW, A friend of mine is a dealer with this company, If you can't find it. PM me, and I'll put you in contact with him. I believe he can have it drop shipped to your door.

A couple other thing to remember with any PA. get you speakers up on stands if at all possible. When setting on the floor, or even at chest level, Bodies will absorb sound. By getting over the audiences heads, sound can travel further. Also, quite often the easiest way to make a small system bigger, is to use larger speakers. They make this system with a small set of 8" speakers. Get at least the one with the 10's and if possible get the one with the 12's! It's a simple law of Science you are moving more air with bigger speakers. Also, larger speakers will handle the bass response of both the canned music and and speaking voice better.
Cheers,
Scruffy
