Has to be controlled environment, nothing inside the envelope except chairs and bleachers lasers and projectors can shoot onto balloon from outside speakers also put outside of balloon. And two fans will inflate balloon to the height for building and with the one entrance and 2 exits, so meets fire marshals requirements. So we are arguing about that. And I just told her to get with the distract find out what is the main problem, that the kids are missing in the valley and that will be the show I will start working on because want to do a show that the kids and distract needs, rather what I think they need. I want to see a report and be able to help distract with there goals, and just trying to explain to her the work in putting Togeather and for a one time thing, it is not worth the work. But a district show for middle school would be a go.

As an educator and a magician I'll add my input.
The balloon may likely be too much of a hassle for the school to want to deal with - especially if they have a stage. It goes beyond fire marshall stuff and into overall liability. With something like an inflateable dome, there are countless possibilities for an allergen or three to be somewhere inside - either in the fabric or something collected in storage or in travel. Hundreds of kids equates to hundreds of potential allergic reactions. Not to mention the potential to damage to your property, their property, and all the people involved.
As for putting together a one time show not being worth the trouble. I disagree. You'll likely only have an hour
max which would translate into 30-45 minutes of actual performance time, which is pretty much a standard show which means you could put on your regular show - maybe change the patter up or swap some illusions out for others.
Fact is that a district show is going to be a lot more work. You have more people to get an "okay" from before you can go in, and different school workers are going to have different requests and demands. I'd suggest starting with the one timer. If it's a good show, the other schools will get wind of it and then you can start working on a braod platform idea.
