Is wearing a yarn wig a good idea?

I love the appearance of a wig made of yarn, especially a braided wig like the one made in this video, except with bangs.

From the research on clowns I've been doing, I've noticed a stunning lack of clowns wearing yarn wigs. Is there a logistics problem I'm unaware of, or is it something that's just simply not done due to tradition?

I have seen a few clowns wearing yarn wigs. I don't know the pros and cons when it comes to yarn. I don't know if they are too hot to wear, more or less durable than traditional wigs, or easy or harder to clean. If the wig fits you and your character, give it a try.

I wear a yarn wig. It's great in cold weather but it heats up in the heat. Great in the rain.

That suits me just fine, as I live in a cold climate. ;) Thanks for the help!
